Own a piece of New Orleans history

A rich history

935 Frenchmen was built when Huckleberry Finn first set sail to bookshelves across America.

Across town, Audubon Park was opening its gates. Jefferson and Carrolton were being annexed into what would become the Uptown neighborhood of New Orleans.

But in the Marigny life was well underway and living was exciting.

incredible access

Centered on Frenchmen in the Faubourg Marigny - a neighborhood sandwiched between the French Quarter and Bywater - 935 Frenchmen has access to it all.

Deep culture

Famous for its culture bearers, artists, live entertainment, and a rich history. Musical greats like Jelly Roll Morton, and Lizzy Miles called the neighborhood home.

welcoming community

In the late 20th century, Marigny became a safe haven for many communities, who in turn poured back into the neighborhood through major restoration efforts.

Despite being at the epicenter of culture in New Orleans, 935 Frenchmen is a serene place to live.

Nested just three blocks above the heart of the Frenchmen entertainment strip, the distance creates just enough buffer so the only sound you'll hear is from the breeze from the ceiling fan.

The noise doesn't carry, but the memories, geaux cups, and hot take out plates sure do.

The smart layout will morph to your needs, with loads of extra storage up top for costumes, decorations, and hobbies!

It includes over 250sqft of fully floored attic space waiting for your belongings or to be added to the homes livable space with the introduction of a staircase.

Meticulous care

935 Frenchmen has been meticulously restored and cared for by the same owner for more than 20 years.

Upgrades include new plumbing and electric throughout, replaced floor joists, decking, flooring, reinforced rafters, HDLC compliant gutters, 30-year roof with architectural shingles, hardy plank siding, attic fully floored, rear deck installation and more.

935 Frenchmen has weathered more than 135 years. The current owner has worked hard to ensure she lasts another 100+ years. Could you be her next steward?

zoned hmc-2

"The HMC-2 Commercial District is intended to permit more intensive commercial uses than the HMC-1 District, yet protect the historic character of the Marigny/Tremé/Bywater area. The district includes the peripheral properties in Marigny/Tremé/Bywater that front on major traffic arteries and can provide access for more intense commercial uses.

This district also allows higher residential densities when a project is providing significant public benefits such as long-term affordable housing."
